| First Fridays was the first major club night run by Vivamusic. The idea was to represent urban music such as funk, hiphop and drum & bass in one room with a different room for 4/4 grooves. The night was an instant success and the following months saw plenty of local talent alongside international guests. The thinking behind the night was to give up and coming local DJ's a platform for their sound while bringing in the best of what the international scene had to offer. Guests at the night included New Zealand's King Kapisi, DJ Flip (ITF World Scratch Champion), Polands DJ Marecky, All City's OB and Irelands and our favourite Hystereo. Our local talent included Sykes & de Cleir, Yos, Darragh Flynn, Vinyl's Marc O' Neil, Shane Slattery, Nigel Henniger, John Mc, Adrian Flynn, A2DF and Leon, Barry Mc, DJ Deviant, Alan Rainbow, The Foot, Subtle Audio's Limerick Drum & Bass guru Code, BadBoyBlast and Peter Byrne.
