| Learn to DJ for the 21st century at “Vivamusic” studios music academy. In todays world, technology is firmly embedded in the music industry from the recording medium all the way to the sound systems that play the finished product. Music technology is changing the way we hear and make music in an incredible way. DJing has evolved from people playing records and cds to digital DJs and VJs to live laptop performers and its time to keep up! We aim to teach aspiring DJs the art of DJing from the conventional medium of mixing and scratching, cueing, beat juggling etc but also to explore the latest technology such as ‘abelton 5’ and ‘final scratch’. We cover in depth all aspects of DJing in a hands-on comprehensive course for the beginner or those of you who want to make the most of your skills or take your DJing to the next level. |

Places on the course are limited to four per module so you get more hands on teaching as opposed to theory. The course is 4 sessions long and takes place weekly on a wednesday evening. There are two tutors teaching this course, Andy Flynn is our resident ‘turntablist’ stroke ‘wonderboy’ and spends 2 sessions on mixing, scratching, and beat juggling. Andy(A2DF) has played along side “Tony Vegas” (“Scratch Perverts”), “Junior Murvin”, “Arrested development”, “Breakestra” and was resident DJ for ‘First Fridays’ and the Wicked Chicken where you can also hear Andy’s latest mix. Dan Sykes covers mixing Dance music styles.
