The sound engineering and home based recording course is for those of you who want to record your own music, bands, sound effects, live sets and radio adverts.

This course focuses on recording in the project studio environment, from single audio sources such as singers to managing a recording session in the studio.

Students will also be trained in using professional standard production equipment and will obtain knowledge on the practical and academic dimensions of sound engineering.

Course Content:
Microphone types, placement, Audio cards, routing audio, recording radio ads, radio jingles, backing tracks,recording instruments and recording and managing a session on your own for final project.

Recording software such as Cubas SX & Logic Pro 7 will also be covered.

Duration:
The Course takes 10 weeks in total including 4 hours lectures per week and has a maximum of 4 places and runs 3 times a year.

800 euro, fees to be paid in advance of course commencement.
